We're a Veteran-owned roofing company serving Mid-Missouri.
Roof Lux is a Veteran-owned roofing company based out of Lake Ozark, Missouri.
Owner, Darrell Elliott, was an Army Tanker that was stationed in Germany for several years and was deployed 27 months to Iraq as well as a short deployment to Kosovo.
After being overseas for more than 6 years he returned home to the Lake Of The Ozarks and obtained his Bachelors’s Degree in Business Management.
Before joining the Army, Darrell grew up doing construction work. He recalls, “When other kids went to daycare, I went to the job site with my dad. As I got older construction was a natural fit.”
How Roof Lux was Started
After returning home from Iraq and earning a business degree returning to my roots in construction was a natural and easy transition.
As I began specializing in roofing, It did not take long to see a significant need in the Lake of the Ozarks roofing market.
I knew I could address it by applying a simple rule that I learned while in the Army…“Do what you said you will do, and strive for the highest possible standards.”
Over the past few years, I have surrounded myself with an exceptional team of dedicated roofing experts and specialists that step up to the plate where other companies tend to fail.
Our Success
One thing that I have been asked a lot lately is how are we able to obtain such a high level of success when there are so many other contractors in the area. The answer is simple. We show up when we say we will be there and we do the things that we say we will do.
Although there are some good roofing contractors in the area, I have heard many horror stories about how customers were taken advantage of by dishonest contractors. So that’s when I realized that professional roofing companies who do the right thing, even when the customer is not standing over our shoulder, is a niche market that an honest team of professionals can fill. Just like that, Roof Lux was born.
Once we zeroed in on exactly what we wanted to do, it was time to start putting it all together. I even went to Insurance Adjuster School in Texas just to be able to communicate with insurance companies on a professional level. We spend a chunk of money every year now purchasing their updated software so that we can communicate with your insurance company more proficiently than any of our competition.

Exceeding Expectations
We have a strong focus on hiring Veterans. Our Operations Director David P. Devine is an Air force Vet.
Brandon Swords (what a great name!) has been with us for a couple of years now, and he is still in the Army Reserve. Brandon has done some wonderful things for the community.
In fact, he recently finished up a project for a Homeowners Association in Sunrise Beach where he was able to successfully work with their insurance company to get new roofs for their entire neighborhood. These were all paid for by their insurance company.
We were able to save their community hundreds of thousands of dollars in reconstruction costs, and once the project started we were finished in less than 2 weeks.
